So you want to win more items on Quibids and you are not quite sure how to do it? Let me just run down 5 tips for you to follow if you really want to even have a chance at winning.
1. Pay attention to what you are bidding on. Remember, you can bid on any item, from any page on the site. As long as you can see the bid button you can bid. This means it could be under the "My QuiBids" section, on your "Watch List" or even across the top of an individual auctions page. Don't lose track, 10 seconds and you could be out of that brand new video game, or whatever.
2. Do a little research on what you are bidding on. Most likely the item you have your eye has been at auction before. Double check by opening the items auction page and right under the photo will be the price that this item has sold for in the last auction. That should give you an idea of what the final price will be. This way you are not wasting bids so early on say the auction lasts 3-4 hours.
3. Take a look at auctions that add 20 seconds per bid. Odds are pretty good that those watching the +20 second auction are also watching for other items and might stray away long enough to miss a bid, or two. You might be able to pick the item up if you stick with it.
4. Always add a couple of the items you want to bid on to your "Watch List". Those items will be stacked up in your "MyQuibids" area and there you can watch them all day long without changes pages and missing bids.
5. If you are viewing the items auction page, take a look at how many bidders there have been in the last 5 minutes. You can find that info to the right of the page next to the bidding button. This tells you a couple things like how many people are watching. The longer you watch the more you will see drop out and might have moved on by the next bid. If there are a lot of bidders in the last 5 minutes, just move along, unless you have a lot of bids to waste.
